North Carolina State Scholarships & Grants

Funded by the State to provide financial assistance to legal residents of NC who meet program criteria and satisfactory academic progress.

NC Need Based Scholarship (NBS)- awarded to legal NC residents with substantial financial need who are enrolled full-time or 3/4 time, working on their first bachelor's degree. The annual award amount for 2012-2013 ranges from 600 to 6800.
